What do you love about summer?  One of my favorite things to do is catch up on reading.  I always used this as a time to rejuvenate myself as an educator.  I would often find a great read to focus on and plan how to implement the strategies the following school year.

I would like to offer the opportunity for you to participate in a web-based book club.  All PLA educators are invited to read the book How to Teach so Students Remember by Marilee Sprenger.  Her book was featured in ASCD on how to improve learning with whole-brain teaching.

• You will receive a schedule for how the reading of the book will be dispersed over the summer
• Participate by blogging and sharing ideas on the topic with other PLA educators
• You can earn 20 PGP points and a certificate at the end of the club for participating and blogging for the entire summer!
